The exit strategy I plan to take would be to stay with my business for several years. My business called “GreekGarden” is a catering service, once a week on Mondays, where fresh, organic fruits and vegetables would be delivered to fraternities and sororities. In order to see my business to succeed, I must wait to see the results after implementing the business. If deemed successful, I would like to pass the business down the family line.
2) Why have you selected this particular exit strategy?
I have selected this strategy because it is a business largely dependent on my customers’ opinion. Therefore, I must see it through to the end, whether successful or not. My ultimate goal is to gradually incorporate healthier food options into Greek life on campus.
3) How do you think your exit strategy has influenced the other decisions you've made in your concept?
My exit strategy influenced my growth intentions because it made me realize that I cannot just simply start and end the business in 2 years. It is a tedious business that I would be willing to dedicate my time and effort into.

I look to do the same with my business as you. If I am successful I will keep the business and hope my children want to carry it on. I think it is very smart to focus on customers as well and rely on customer service and opinions. Great work! Here's the link to mine: http://tonyclements90.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.html
ReplyDeleteHey Cindy, I really enjoyed reading your blog post and I like your business idea. I think this idea would be really good but would you also like to open up to the public and not just fraternities and sororities. I say this not only to open your target market but also because I know that these entities order form large food distributors that sell in bulk that usually sell to restaurants and this would be very hard to compete due to the fact that you want to sell organic produce. If you can manage to purchase organic produce and sell it at or bellow your competitors and still make a profit, then your business idea will be successful. I would like to share my blog post but I missed this assignment.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI think you have a great idea with the delivery of fresh food to the Greek community. I think that something like this could really benefit the local farmers and their families, as well as helping out the Greek community by giving them fresh, straight from the garden fruits and veggies. Where I am from there are a few fruit and veggie stands, and they always have the best products as far as freshness and taste.

Cindy,
ReplyDeleteAs a member of the greek community I was really intrigued by your idea. I think this is an excellent idea and would have an immense impact on this Universitys culture and campus. The picture you chose was perfect as well as it directly tied into your venture and added vibrance to the aesthetic. What made you decide to not sell it after a certain amount of years? I think that could be very profitable. Keep up the good work and check out my post http://stefankostas.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.htmlhttp://stefankostas.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.html
Hey Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea. I think it could help lots of students, giving them one thing less to worry about. It could bring so much awareness to the university about healthy eating and its importance. Your business idea could influence so many there things on campus, not just sorties and frats. It could push healthy eating onto UF, which could make your business idea grow. Keep up the good work.
