Elevator Pitch No. 3

1) The pitch. Same as last time, 1-minute long. No Web cams. No sitting. Be dynamic! Upload the video to YouTube (as you do with all of your videos) and post the link.

2) A reflection on the feedback you received from your last pitch.
Some of the feedback that I got was to try and make my pitch a little longer to the 1 minute time period. Also, I was told to try to add a little bit more detail about my service.

3) What did you change, based on the feedback?
As a result, I ended up elaborating a little bit more on my idea of “GreekGarden”. I also made the speech a little longer than my last.

  1. Cindy,
You have a neat idea presented here. I enjoy the fact that you are interested in spreading healthier food options to students such as those in Greek life. However, I could also see the benefit of you spreading that idea to other students who are not in Greek life as well, just for the sake of allowing everyone to have an equal opportunity to eat healthier. Also, it would be much appreciated if you could speak a little louder and be more dynamic with your words, maybe even use your hands to emphasize certain ideas in your pitch. Overall it was very good and I thank you for sharing! Check out my blog at: http://karinatamayo.blogspot.com/2016/03/elevator-pitch-no3.html

  2. Cindy,
I like your idea, but is it completely necessary saying that most every house already has a dedicated cook to provide healthy options for them? I am a busboy at a house and I can say from experience that the girls have tons of options, healthy and not, to choose from every day. I think your idea would work for a house without a cook or for special events. I would recommend slowing down your pitch so that I can easily understand every word next time!

  3. Cindy,
As someone who is in a sorority here at the University of Florida and also a vegetarian, I find this idea extremely appealing. I believe that this idea would be easily implemented and would appeal to mostly everyone in a sorority. You have a very valid point about most chapters requiring their members to dress up for chapter once a week and I agree with you completely that if we are dressed nicely we should be eating nice food too.
